Each month, the Missions committee at AUMC chooses a "Mission of the Month." Our mission for August is hosting "A Taste of Africa." A Taste of Africa is sponsored by CCIP-Zimbabwe which is an organization of clergy and other professionals in Kansas who are creating and maintaining programs that help individuals in Zimbabwe to become self-sufficient. A Taste of Africa starts on August 24 at 5:30pm with African Cuisine, Zimbabwean music, a CCIP Presentation, and a Silent Auction. CCIP will also lead our services on August 25th. Everyone is welcome!

The Food Bank is supported by donations from Andover and surrounding communities, including organizations such as scouts, schools, churches, and civic organizations. With community support, the Food Bank is able to serve families once a month, up to six times per year. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to helping serve the town of Andover!
Thrive! Butler works with individuals and families who are stuck in survival mode and struggling to create a sustainable future for themselves. We believe any individual can get ahead, and we are committed to providing education and social capital, and to walking with them through the Aha! Process developed by Ruby Payne, via a program called Getting Ahead. Thrive! Butler offers this 16 week course for residents of Butler County. We can accomodate up to 12 participants and we meet at Andover United Methodist Church.
